Princess 023

Chapter 023 - MF - MEGA - Batoto

By the way, anyone seeing a pattern with the necklace gemstones?

p5_c001_p009-010 - Lila's gem is a square
p5_c001_p007-008 - Areah? gem is round
p5_c001_p011-012 - Freya's gem is Marquise-ish (or tilted square?)
p5_c004_p001-002 - Beatrice gem is a square
p5_c005_p001-002 - Eshild's? gem is a round
p5_c006_p001-002 - Rasarado's gem is a round
p5_c001_p003-004 - Hith's gem is oval-ish
p5_c023_p006 - Sibel's gem is a square

For instance, all Tor's children except Areah are drawn with a square.

You will understand why I bring it up when you read page 6.

Edit: It seems Sibel were first drawn with a gem shaped in the same Marquise-ish/titled square shape as Freya's (p5_c001_p005-006).

My personal theory is that each gem represents a different country and/or family. And once Freya (or someone) units the countries they
will wear something which has all the different gem shapes in it.

(And in that theory the reason Areah wears another gem is because she is being wed and shipped of to Sgarde)

Ofc the theory is flawed because the author is not consistent with what everyone wears, and for instance a lot of different people have a round gem.

Also the necklace that Sibel lost in p5_c002_p014 seemed rather important, and it didn't seem to have a particular gem shape in it...

So maybe just some of the gem shapes are traditionally used in some places.

that necklace belonged to M***ca family.

mention about the gems, Freya's illustration in chap 23 has a round sheped gem. So i think the author take a random shape for them.
by the way, did anyone figure out that Hith's gems in chap 01 have two colors : purple (Pry's eyes) and yellow (Pry's hair).

I've got a question for you guys. I usually check in on naver every week to see the updates and since you said the author was on a break I decided to look around the site this time for fun. I saw that the author has one other series that seems to be historical, however since I cannot read or understand any Korean I cannot tell the name of the story or where to view the chapters, so I would appreciate it if you can direct me to the correct spot. here is what I think is the name of the story.아기자기 색동 ... I don't even know if what is available are chapters or volumes. anyway thanks and can't wait for your next update!!!!

@tran lac, Nice noticing Hiths gems. I did not thing about that :)

@Serena,
I do not think that story has been translated into english (There are no scanlations being listed at MangaUpdates at least: https://www.mangaupdates.com/series.html?id=61673 )

It looks like the author started that 5 volume story in 1998, and that the story is based on the famous korean story "The Fairy and the Woodcutter". It looks like it never will be scanlated (I can't even find raws).
