I'm guessing her father was killed anyway and she somehow escaped. That might explain why Ruka (Skadei's uncle) was looking for a black-haired girl at the bar. Maryanne could be dyeing her hair or wearing a wig (more likely).
Ummm, hard to find the page. Will take a look through now to find the exact page. Skadei said it in passing I believe, early on (before he meets Lala). For now, I just found this in which he mentions a relative in Ramira:
Another 2 page's referring to Ruka as Skadei's "relative" lol. I could be wrong about the uncle part; he might be a cousin instead but for some reason, I recall seeing uncle at some point. Oh well, at least this new set of links has the name (Ruka).
Still no sign of "uncle" but I found a mistranslated "brother" lol. Also, Ruka owns a manor in Ramira and appears to be on the council (I've seen him in Biyon's meetings).
Shimizu: "The word 형님 might also refer to someone's boss or used between two close friends between guys (only guys use this word) - specifically, the younger one calls 형님 to the older one to indicate closeness."
So even if Skadei calls Luca his brother all we know is that they are somewhat close. I for one think Sunny got it right and Luca is Skadei's cousin (or uncle).
Also, sadly, because I have some stuff going on, expect a late* release this week.
Update: Sadly I have to inform you that you will have to wait a tad longer for chapter 10 and 11.
I will try to get them out before chapter 12 is published.
While moving my computer (or at least one hard drive) decided to fail on me. Seeing how scanlation isn't the only thing I use the computer for, I am prioritizing some other stuff.
I don't see any reason to why you wont get your releases weekly after that though.
I thought that this series was never going to get continued! I did not know the author was sick, but I am glad they are better. I thank you guys soooo much for working on this series. I have been following it since my teen years. Thanks a lot and please keep up your great work!!

Will add Luka/Luca sometime in the future to the character map.
While I'm as sure as you are that Luka is not Skadei's brother he refers to him as brother on that page.
루카 형님이 = brother luca. (I've sent a email to Shimizu regarding this, I will tell you what she thinks).
